Family Programs Hawaii is pleased to announce the opening of the Family Strengthening Center in affiliation with the Hawaii School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University.  The mission of the Center is to promote healthy development of children by strengthening their families though a multidisciplinary approach.  This is accomplished in collaboration with many other organizations and agencies that address the healthy development of children.  The Director of the Center, Dr. Steven J. Choy, is an Associate Professor at Argosy University and has over 40 years of clinical experience facilitating healthy development of children and helping families provide a nurturing and growth facilitating environment for their children. Through the Center’s multidisciplinary staff, the Family Strengthening Center provides an array of services that address the developmental needs of children & assist their families to facilitate healthy development.  The center begins its work on Oahu and is working on a  plan to be able to offer services across the state.
