OIF LOGO-

The Judiciary’s Hawai‘i Court Improvement Program held the 9th annual ‘Ohana is Forever:Beyond a Label  conference on July 24, 2015 at the beautiful Ko‘olau Golf Course, Kaneohe, Hawai‘i.  This free, foster youth-focused conference hosted current and former foster youth, their resource families, and their supportive adults, including Family Court judges and staff, guardians ad litem (GALs), Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs), Department of Human Services staff, and service providers. Youth and adults were together for parts of the conference and also had their own, separate workshops.   Attendees heard the voices of foster youth and alumni and gained skills to support youth toward reaching their goals.
